Pre-requisites:

• You must be a member in good standing of Lily Dale Assembly for a minimum of one year before you are eligible to apply to become a registered medium.

• Prior to submitting an application, you must have demonstrated your mediumship a minimum of 15 times at the Forest Temple or Inspiration Stump and at least 2 times at Monday Night Circles within the last 2 previous years.

• You will be required to provide written documentation of this service with your application – i.e. date, place and time when you served, and the name of the chairperson.

 

Background & References:

• You will be required to detail the instruction you have undertaken in your study of mediumship, including the names of teachers, length of studies, where and when you took this instruction, and what the instruction covered.

• You will be required to provide a letter of reference from your church Pastor stating and detailing your activities and participation in your church.

• You will be required to provide copies of all credentials and certifications pertaining to mediumship that you have received from your church, or other sources.

• You will be required to provide 3 letters of reference from people (excluding family members) who can attest to the proficiency of your mediumship.

Application & Evaluation:

• If you are a citizen of another country, you must provide a copy of your work visa from the US Government before you are eligible to apply to become a registered medium.

• Please submit this document to the LD office at the time you request an application.

• Your fully completed application will be accepted between April 1 and June 1 of the year you are testing to become a registered medium.

• During the summer in which you submit your application, you will be required to serve a minimum of 25 outdoor services at Inspiration Stump and the Forest Temple, and 2 Monday Night Circles.

• You are responsible to keep an accurate record of your services.

• During Demonstration Weekend, which takes place during the third weekend in October each year, you will be required to give 3 private readings to members of LDA, and 3 demonstrations of your mediumship before the LDA Board.

Registration:

• If you are a successful candidate and become registered, you will be required to agree to and pay for a criminal history background check. This fee may vary depending on your state and country of residence.

• To become a registered medium, you will be required to pay a business fee each year, and sign a contract with Lily Dale Assembly each year that you are registered.

• The contract will detail your requirements to serve at the outdoor services and Monday Night Circles each summer.

• You will be required to obtain your own location in Lily Dale from which to conduct your work as a registered medium.
