Intro to Physical Mediumship with Susan Barnes

Step beyond the familiar world of mental mediumship and discover the fascinating history, phenomena, and practices of physical mediumship. In this two-hour online workshop, we will explore how physical mediumship has been understood within the Spiritualist tradition and examine phenomena such as table movement, raps, trance, transfiguration, spirit lights, apport phenomena, and materialization. Participants will also learn about the importance of preparation, intention, altered states of consciousness, energy, and creating a respectful and supportive atmosphere for physical phenomena.

Presenter Bio

Dr. Susan B. Barnes, CSNU is a retired communication professor from RIT and certificate holder from the Spiritualist National Union. She was a tutor on SNUi and currently teaches mediumship and spirit art classes for AREI. Susan is author of Unfolding Physical Mediumship and Visual Spirituality.
