Cayce Inspired Psychic Development with Dr. Susan Barnes CSNU

Session Description: PSYCHIC means of the SPIRIT or SOUL, for cooperation of the individual, or through the individual, from whom such phenomena, or of such phases of the working of the spirit and soul, to bring the actions of these to the physical plane. [3744-2] Edgar Cayce, known as the sleeping prophet, gave numerous psychic readings about how to develop an individual’s psychic skills. He believed that all of us have the ability to do psychic work and that these skills can be used in our daily lives to help. Exercises have been developed for you to explore your psychic ability using the Cayce readings and their inspiration. We will start with his descriptions of the different levels of consciousness and how they work together. After learning the levels, we will engage in a guided meditation to explore how our minds can be trained for psychic and spiritual work. A central idea in the Cayce work is working on a personal level before providing support to others. Focusing on your own psychic power is central to the work. These abilities occur through our five senses. Exercises will be provided to help you to receive spiritual messages through your physical and clairvoyant senses. Finally, a similarity and difference between Cayce’s purpose of psychic development and Spiritualist psychic development will be discussed. The course will provide lecture material, meditation techniques, exercises, and discussion. No previous experience is necessary. Presenter Bio: Dr. Barnes is a retired communication professor who has written 11 books including Visual Spirituality. She is also a certificate holder from the Spiritualist Nation Union in speaking and demonstrating mediumship. Susan has been trained in Life Coaching at the Edgar Cayce Center and regularly attends their study groups.
