About the Event

Altars are intentional spaces where the sacred meets the everyday—places to center your attention, honor what matters most, and support your spiritual practice. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore what an altar is, why it can be meaningful, and how to create one that reflects your values, intentions, and personal spirituality.


I will share examples of altars I’ve created over time to inspire your own process. You’ll learn how to gather and choose meaningful items, arrange and care for your altar, and thoughtfully dismantle it when its purpose is complete. We’ll also explore the many roles altars can serve—supporting grief, marking transitions, celebrating milestones, grounding the nervous system, or simply reconnecting with yourself.


If time allows, we’ll take a short, mindful walk to collect fallen natural items—without cutting living plants or using non-biodegradable materials—and create simple nature altars. These temporary offerings can be revisited during your time in Lily Dale,…
