Recognizing Trees as Friends, Teachers, & Helpers

The trees are upright Beings with whom we share our beautiful planet. They stand as beacons of stability, groundedness, and contentment, yet they offer so much more. This workshop will help to bring us into relationship with the trees in many different ways. Our time together will include the following practices with trees: retrieval of memory, shared physiology, personal guided imagery, poetry and stories, and learning to cleanse our energy with a fallen branch. The focus will be on expanding and deepening our relationship with trees as we enter into new territories of awareness and practice. Breathing, gentle movement, and stretches with the trees as our inspirational partners will be a part of the class. Those with all levels of physical ability are invited. Prepare to have time to slow down as you work with the energy of trees! The practices we explore can be incorporated into your day to day life for calming, happiness, and relief from pressures and anxiety. 

Jenny Garrison is a teacher of gentle yoga, an avid journeyer, and imagery guide for others. Her style is relaxed and welcoming, laced with her skill and experience in the deep soul work of imagery. She is the author of Yoga with Trees and the landmark guide for inner journeying "Imagery In You: Mining for Treasure in your Inner World". Jenny is a registered nurse with certifications from The Academy for Guided Imagery and The International Institute for Visualization Research. She believes everyone can draw strength and wisdom from their inner world and the world of nature, and dedicates her work to this purpose.
