About the Event
Across many traditions, the drum is regarded as a sacred instrument whose rhythm echoes the heartbeat of the Earth. In this workshop, participants will create their own authentic hand drum using elk hide, wooden hoops, and traditional lacing.
The process is approached with intention and respect for the materials and traditions involved. Participants will be guided step-by-step through the drum-making process while learning about the spiritual significance of the drum in ceremony and prayer.
Because materials must be individually prepared, pre-registration is required by July 15. Registration price holds your space, materials need to be paid for by July 15. There are two options for the ticket. You can either pay the whole amount at the time of registration, or pay just the registration and come back before July 15 and pay the material fee.
