Many well-known modern abstract and figurative artists have been influenced by Spiritualism and spiritual values. This presentation will explore artists influenced by Spiritualism. It will be filled with images of art to explore the spiritual in art. Moreover, art movements including, abstract expressionism, symbolism, and surrealism will be examined for their spiritual values. Finally, the audience will be given an opportunity to explore their own ability to create spiritual pictures. Today, the unknown history of spirit art is being recognized by historians, galleries, and individual artists. Everyone can participate in this emerging trend. Learn and explore spirit art and its influences in contemporary society. 

Bio: Dr. Susan B. Barnes, CSNU is an medium, communication professor, and spirit artist. She is certified by the Spiritualist National Union and a presenter at the Afterlife Research and Education Institute (AREI). Her work has been featured in the Psychic Observer, Psychic News, We Don't Die Radio and her Psychic Professor's Show. Susan is the author of ten books including: Unfolding Physical Mediumship. She owns the Spirit Art Gallery in Cassadaga, NY where she regularly teaches art
