Suicide ~ the Silent Storm

Join Retired Police Detective & current Lily Dale resident and President of The Church of the Living Spirit, Nancy Lombardo in a supportive informational and spiritual discussion for those wanting a better understanding of the suicide epidemic. 

Suicide has long been associated as a taboo subject matter. As someone who has lost a family member and friends to suicide, I bring a unique perspective to this topic that people in general find so difficult to talk about. 

This workshop will cover suicide statistics amongst the military, first responders, and our children. We will explore the effects suicide has on those left behind, the emotions, sadness, anger, grief, and how to cope going forward. We will also discuss suicide and how we can be supportive through compassion and healing.

Nancy Lombardo is a full-time resident here at Lily Dale. Nancy served in the Army as a Military Police Officer and then segued to civilian law enforcement where she served on the Lawton Oklahoma Police Department. Nancy retired as a Detective and returned to the area after a combined 32-year career in Law Enforcement. As a Detective Nancy specialized in the monitoring of Registered Sex Offenders, Narcotics, Human Trafficking, Internet Crimes Against Children, and was an Advanced Hostage Negotiator. Nancy now presents and lectures on these areas of expertise at various venues. Nancy is an Ordained Spiritualist and Interfaith Minister and current President of the Church of the Living Spirit. Nancy serves year-round for the Lily Dale Healing Temple Services. As a hobby, Nancy is a group fitness instructor, a yoga instructor, and a marathon runner. Nancy is a Lifetime member and past President of the Association of Oklahoma Narcotic Enforcers, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, and The American Legion.
