Table Tipping

Table Tipping was a Victorian pastime. Numerous mediums spent their evening receiving spirit messages through tables answering “yes” and “no” questions. At times the table walked and attempted to give a hug or two. As a Spiritualist practice, table tipping still occurs today. Neal Rzepkowski, M.D. is NOT a “born medium”. It took him a year and a half in development circle study before he was able to deliver his first recognizable message. His first public message in 1973 at Forest Temple made no sense at all to the person he gave it to. (Hey, you've got to start somewhere!) He failed testing for medium registration in Lily Dale in 1988 but passed in 1989. He also passed a review for certification by the Forever Family Foundation. He says he benefits from classes like this which push him (and attendees as well) outside their “comfort zones”.

Dr. Susan B. Barnes, MFA, Ph.D, CSNU, is an international medium and tutor. She spent ten years training at the Arthur Findlay College and Barbanell Centre where she studied mediumship, trance, and physical mediumship. As a result, she received a prestigious Certificate from the Spiritualist National Union (CSNU) in Demonstrating and Speaking. Additionally, she studied spirit art with the International Spiritualist Federation. Her teaching includes being a tutor for the SNUI (mediumship), an instructor for two global Afterlife Research and Education Zoom meetings (mediumship and spirit art) and a teacher for the Lily Dale Spiritualist Church (mediumship). Susan has lectured and demonstrated mediumship in the United States, Canada, and Europe and regularly in online global meetings. She is an award-winning author of ten books, including Unfolding Physical Mediumship.
