Former FBI agent Ben Hansen and investigative journalist Melissa Tittl of Discovery+/Travel Channel's UFO WITNESS covered the subject  in their 2021 Shock Docs episode called Alien Invasion: Hudson Valley. The documentary followed Hansen and Tittl as they set out to uncover the truth about alien activity. Countless Hudson Valley residents with first-hand UFO experiences were interviewed, including a skeptical community leader who finally shared his untold story of a potential UFO landing. Using a "multimodal approach" with specialized cameras and technology, their goal was to communicate with the unknown entities, and they believe they succeeded! Inspired by The X-Files as a teen, Ben Hansen followed his dream and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in sociology and criminology. After college, he worked as a crime scene investigator for several agencies, including the Utah Crimes Task Force. A former Special Agent for the FBI, his expertise with equipment, especially night vision technology, has made him a leading expert in paranormal analysis. His television career first took off when he played a major role in creating a new investigative reality television show for SyFy Channel called Fact or Faked. Departing from the mainstream paranormal shows prevalent at the time, this show conducted observation-based field investigations and focused on alleged evidence already at hand. Since appearing on Discovery channel's Ghost of Morgan City, Ben recently completed his second season as star of Discovery’s blockbuster show UFO Witness with co-star Melissa Tittl. Additionally, Hansen shares awareness of the increased UFO sightings, documents civilian and pilot reports, and interviews on prominent television news shows.

For more than a decade, Melissa Tittl has served as a producer, writer, and investigative journalist for Hathor Studios. She has spent most of her life on either side of the camera telling stories that provoke people to question the occurrences of everyday life. An Emmy Award winning producer in motion picture & television, Melissa has worked on shows such as Ancient Alien, Hangar 1: The UFO Files, and Sci-Trek: Neanderthals. She also serves as Head of Content at GAIA. Recently, Melissa has proudly completed her newest documentary film, CODE 12, which follows her journey as she deciphers the matrix code that all beings (human or non-human) can use to enter or stay in our realm.
